ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies is built on to the Associate degree in Business Studies and provides the opportunity for graduates of the Associate degree in Business Studies or an equivalent qualification, to buttress their knowledge and become a specialist in any of the following areas: Accounting, Finance and Management, Human Resource Management and Marketing. It provides graduates with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to embark on a journey whether as a key player in an existing organization or the owner of a business.

This programme targets any of the following individuals: · Persons with industry experience seeking certification at supervisory level · Persons with industry experience who are supervisors but need formal training. · Graduates with an Associate Degree in related fields/specific fields. · Persons who want to change their career path within the programme industry. · High school graduates interested in careers in business, marketing, finance, accounts and human resource management.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must possess an Associate degree issued by the CCCJ. It should be noted that the qualifying degree must be in an area relevant to the intended programme of study. Applicants who fail to meet this criterion will be required to complete the necessary bridging courses at the Associate degree level prior to being afforded acceptance.

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Studies a 72 credits credit programme offered full-time across four (4) semesters and part-time (evenings & weekends) across six (6) semesters. The programme comprises the following courses: Administrative Communication Accounting, Finance and Management Seminar Advanced Financial Accounting Auditing Caribbean Industrial Relations Company Law Distribution and Retail Management Digital Marketing Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation Dynamics of Leadership Financial Reporting and Analysis Financial Management 2 Financial Accounting 2 Risk Management and Insurance Supply Chain Management Strategic Marketing Management

To be awarded the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Studies, a student must have: Completed all credits in the programme Completed all courses in the programme Completed all required hours of work experience
